Firefighters rescue 6 people from burning North York building

TORONTO -- Six people had to be rescued from a burning building in North York after a fire broke out Friday night. Fire crews were called to the apartment building on Gosford Boulevard, near Jane Street and Steeles Avenue West, just after 5:30 p.m. Video footage of the scene showed visible flames and thick black smoke billowing from the 15-storey apartment building.
