Decision day: Fate of Trans Mountain Pipeline expansion to be decided
The future of the Trans Mountain Pipeline expansion project is set to be decided on Tuesday, months after the Federal Court of Appeal shelved the project. The expansion would twin an already existing pipeline from Edmonton to Burnaby B.C., tripling its crude capacity. The Liberal Government spent $4.5 billion on the pipeline in an attempt to get it built before a court decided adequate consultations with Indigenous communities were not conducted.
