Kingston environmentalists call for development to be stopped

KINGSTON — A citizens group is asking the city’s planning committee to reject a proposed subdivision development that would cut down a forested area along Centennial Drive.The proposal for 686 Centennial Dr. calls for the creation of 171 residential lots on 10.5 hectares of land along the south side of the CN Rail tracks.The development is to include 112 townhouses, 47 single-detached houses and two six-unit apartment buildings.
