E-scooter driver arrested, charged following traffic stop

A driver of an e-scooter faces various charges after being pulled over by Kingston Policeon Aug. 1 around 6:15 p.m.An officer saw a man driving an e-scooter in the marked bicycle lane in the area of Division Street and John Counter Boulevard.Officers noted that the vehicle was travelling at a high rate of speed and was measured at 77 kilometers per hour using a mobile radar unit.The officer stopped the rider a short distance later. During the interaction, the individual failed to comply with po
