Sudbury gets 40 more spots to recruit skilled Francophone immigrants 

Greater Sudbury will be allowed to recruit more skilled immigrants under a special federal program. In a release, the City of Greater Sudbury said the Francophone Community Immigration Pilot (FCIP) program has been a success here. That has prompted Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada to approve an additional 40 allocations for the Sudbury FCIP Program.The allocations are for use in the 2026 calendar year, increasing the community’s 2026 allocation from 45 to 85, the city said. &l
