In two hours, almost two dozen distracted drivers charged in Sudbury

Nearly two-dozen drivers were issued fines in the space of two hours this week for looking at a smartphone instead of the road.
On Wednesday, members of the Greater Sudbury Police traffic management unit conducted a “focused education and enforcement initiative to address distracted driving complaints,” the service said in a release.
Over a two-hour time period, officers issued 21 provincial offence notices in relation to distracted driving – cellphone use.
