Greater Sudbury to continue anti-human trafficking program

A program used to deter human trafficking in Sudbury, while helping survivors, has gotten a financial boost from city council.During a meeting of the community and emergency services committee this week, councillors voted to “extend services with Shkagamik-Kwe Health Centre for the continued delivery of the BEAR (Belonging, Equity, Access, Respect) program” through March 31, 2027.The contract extension will cost taxpayers $207,065, to be funded through the provincial Homelessness Pr
