Edmonton adds $1M to enforce parking rules this year after a surge in public complaints

The 56,000 complaints the city got in 2023 jumped to 82,000 in 2025, “creating a persistent backlog of unresolved complaints,” the report shows. City managers are recommending increasing fine amounts in at least 20 sections of the city's traffic bylaw.
