Clock running out on stayed murder charge in Edmonton infant's death

Six-month-old Phoenix Pidgeon died in July 2016 of lethal head trauma. His babysitter, Darren James Gagnon, was charged with second-degree murder, but the charge was stayed in March 2021 after a judge ruled his confession to police was inadmissible.
