Auditor general finds aging icebreakers, aircraft hamper monitoring of Arctic waters

Canada’s federal organizations responsible for safety and security in the Arctic region do not have a full picture of what is happening there and are not ready to respond to increased surveillance requirements, according to a report from the country’s auditor general.
