As students and educators continue to push for the education sector's response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's calls to action, some school authorities are introducing compulsory Indigenous-focused courses. Others warn against a silo mentality, where Indigenous voices, perspectives and knowledge appear only in certain subjects.
