Stormont Dundas Glengarry's roadside tree program on shaky ground

The United Counties of SDG might be pausing its roadside tree-planting program, as staff members prepare a report to highlight the county’s next steps when it comes to when and how it plants trees. The decision comes after a committee of the whole meeting on Monday, that was prompted after pushback from the Glengarry Federation of Agriculture (GFA) in the fall. The GFA has argued SDG’s current roadside tree planting program lacks public consultation and falls short of its stated goal
