Fishing For Autism reels in record turnout in Alexandria

ALEXANDRIA — Over 1,000 people were expected to make their way through Island Park Beach during the eighth Fishing For Autism event in Alexandria on Sunday.Organizer Katy O’Connor said she was so pleased with the sunny weather, the turnout, and how everyone was having fun.New this year to the event was a free shuttle bus from Cornwall to and from the park in North Glengarry. O’Connor said she has heard feedback that people wanted to attend the event but had no way to get to it
