Cornwall police charge teen with assault, weapons, breaches

A 15-year-old girl is facing five charges after police responded to a family dispute call on Monday. Police alleged the teen brandished and edged weapon and waved it towards her mother. The teen, whose identity cannot be released under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was charged with assault with a weapon; possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose; and, three counts of breaching a sentence order for possessing a weapon and failing to keep the peace.
