Cornwall police charge man with possessing ammunition, theft, breaches

A 33-year-old man from Cornwall is facing four charges tied to several police investigations. Police alleged the man breached a release order on Oct. 24 when he removed merchandise from a Ninth Street West business without paying for it. He was in OPP custody on Tuesday for an unrelated matter, whose officers alleged he was breaching a prohibition order by having ammunition in his possession. He was later transferred into Cornwall police custody. The man was charged with possession of a firearm
