Cornwall police charge man with 2019 sexual assault

A 21-year-old man from Cornwall was charged with two counts of sexual assault on a person under 16 years old, and two counts of sexual interference. Police alleged the man directly touched a youth for sexual purposes in 2019, and began an investigation into the incident on May 4. The accused cannot be identified as he was under 18 at the time and covered by the Youth Criminal Justice Act. He was released to appear in Cornwall court at a later date.
