Cornwall council gives Canada Day committee an additional $12,000

Thousands attend Cornwall’s free Canada Day event celebrations in Lamoureux Park every year and council felt this was worthy of additional funding this year. The city budgeted $25,000 to support the Canada Day celebrations in 2025. The Canada Day volunteer committee requested an additional $12,000 in support this year due to a fundraising shortfall.
