Cornwall council briefs: Gardiner's leave extended

During the regular meeting of council on Oct. 14, Coun. Syd Gardiner was unanimously granted an extended medical leave. Gardiner, who has served as an elected official at the Cornwall council table for over a decade now, was first granted a four-month leave of absence from his council and committee duties by his colleagues in July.
