A nod to deep tradition, roots, at the 2026 Glengarry Highland Games

MAXVILLE — The roots keep getting deeper from the region’s Scottish equivalent of the Tree of Life, the Glengarry Highland Games.Over 20,000 Scottish and Celtic faithful gathered for the 77th Games in Maxville, starting late last week.It’s easy to understand why these games have endured, even through time and multiple generations.This year’s guest of honour, Kelli Trottier , said this as she scanned the infield toward the much recognizable Maxville Fairground grandstand.
