Update: Possible drowning victim reported as safe

UPDATE 7:15 P.M. SATURDAY: B.C. RCMP spokesperson Corporal Brett Urano says the possible drowning victim has been reported as safe. At approximately 6:30 p.m., the man who called out for help contacted the Chilliwack RCMP and advised that he was safe and was able to get himself off the river. Chilliwack RCMP have expressed thanks to the public and media for their assistance in locating the man.
