Top-ranked Sabalenka ends Mboko’s singles run in fourth round at Australian Open

MELBOURNE — Victoria Mboko's impressive singles run at the Australian Open came to a halt in the fourth round on Sunday in Melbourne.
The Toronto teen, seeded 17th in the prestigious Grand Slam event, was bounced by Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus — the world's top-ranked female player — 6-1, 7-6 (1) in one hour 26 minutes inside Rod Laver Arena.
Sabalenka, who needed only 34 minutes to take the first set, finished with six aces, three double faults, 27 winners and 24 unforced error
