Reports: Jays’ Santander expected to miss five, six months after shoulder surgery
DUNEDIN — Outfielder Anthony Santander of the Toronto Blue Jays will have labrum surgery on his left shoulder and is expected to miss five to six months of the 2026 season, numerous outlets reported Tuesday.
Toronto manager John Schneider provided the update when he met with reporters Tuesday. But the bad news didn't stop there.
Reports also say right-hander Shane Bieber is dealing with forearm fatigue and won't be ready to begin the season. Toronto was already without right-hander Bowden
