More housing could be coming to Promontory

CHILLIWACK — Chilliwack city council this week gave first and second reading to a proposal that would build 17 townhouse units on what appears to be a 1.54-acre property on Hudson Road up in Promontory.According to agenda item 7.8 on the council agenda this past Tuesday (Nov. 7), applicant James David Hipwell is looking to rezone 46750 Hudson Road from an R3 (small lot residential) zone to an R4 (low density multi-unit residential) zone to facilitate a future 17-unit townhouse development.
