Maple Ridge man facing second-degree murder charge

MAPLE RIDGE — Maple Ridge RCMP say a 26-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with a fatal shooting in that community earlier this year.
The suspect, who is also from Maple Ridge, remains in custody following the charges. The incident occurred on May 31 when Ridge Meadows RCMP responded to reports of a shooting near the Lougheed Highway in the afternoon.
