Chilliwack RCMP detains man after he allegedly causes accident, flees scene

CHILLIWACK — A motorcyclist was detained by Chilliwack RCMP officers Saturday afternoon after he allegedly caused an accident on Chilliwack Lake Road and fled the scene, only to be captured and arrested less than an hour later.
The Chilliwack Fire Department was dispatched Saturday afternoon at approximately 4:45 p.m. for the report of a truck that had gone into a ditch on Chilliwack Lake Road, and a motorcyclist possibly responsible for that crash had allegedly left the scene.
Chilliwack
