Horse barn damaged in fire near Tilbury; animals brought to safety

The owner of a horse barn that caught fire early Saturday morning on Hornick Line, south of Tilbury, was able to get all the animals out and no injuries were reported.
Chatham-Kent Fire & Emergency Services reports Station No. 19 Tilbury was called to the fire at 6 a.m.
The owner of the home was up at the time and noticed a glow coming from the barn and was able to remove the animals prior to fire crews arriving.
The hayloft was heavily involved in fire when crews arrived.
