EF1 tornado, downburst confirmed in Wheatley

Investigators confirmed an EF1 tornado, as well as a downburst, came through Wheatley during last week’s storm that wreaked havoc throughout the region.On the afternoon of Sept. 3, there was damage to a large barn and multiple trees in the small lakeside community southwest of Chatham, as well as two toppled transport trucks and minor roof damage, according to the Northern Tornadoes Project (NTP). No injuries were reported.Ground and drone survey were conducted the following day to docume
