Damage, no injuries as tornado, downbursts hit Chatham-Kent, Walpole Island

Severe weather, including a tornado and two downbursts, recently hit parts of Chatham-Kent and Walpole Island First Nation, the Northern Tornadoes Project has confirmed.Croton, a small community in northern Chatham-Kent, recorded a EF0 tornado beginning at 2 a.m. last Friday, packing maximum wind speed of 130 km/h, leaving a path 4.8 kilometres and 150 metres wide, data collected by the Western University project show.Downbursts hit Walpole Island, starting at 1:35 a.m., and Blenheim at 1:55 a.
