Students who collect emergency COVID-19 aid must attest they're looking for work

Students who collect emergency financial aid will be required to confirm they're looking for summer work. Legislation providing $9 billion in assistance to students who saw their summer employment prospects dry up due to the COVID-19 crisis — which was tabled in the House of Commons today — says applicants must "attest to the fact that they are seeking work."
