Federal government approves N.L. premier's request for assistance following massive blizzard

The federal government approved Newfoundland and Labrador's request for assistance in dealing with the aftermath of a record-smashing blizzard, Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Minister Bill Blair tweeted on Saturday.
