Biologists are fighting this invasive plant – by hand – to protect some Quebec waters

Water chestnut, an invasive aquatic species, multiplies quickly and blocks the light other species rely on. The watershed council for the Vaudreuil-Soulanges area is working to eradicate it from the Ottawa River and the Lake of Two Mountains.
