Canmore council drains $3M housing reserve for affordable housing project

One of Canmore’s most important municipal reserves was drained to help fund the Palliser 144-unit affordable housing project. The $76.7-million project received a $3.66-million boost after council approved emptying the reserve. It also forgave half of a $864,000 loan it gave Canmore Community Housing.
