Calgary council divided on whether city should take official stance on Alberta separatism

Mayor Jeromy Farkas said he anticipates bringing urgent business or calling a special meeting for city council to debate whether to take an official stance on the upcoming Alberta independence referendum this fall. But some councillors argue the debate is outside their jurisdiction.
