Alberta to drop state of emergency as wildfire situation improves

Provincial officials announced Saturday that the state of emergency triggered by wildfires in Alberta will end just before midnight. The state of emergency was put into effect on May 6 when out-of-control wildfires forced thousands of residents across the province from their homes.
