Suspect in custody after stabbing in Sud-Ouest borough

A 36-year-old man was in hospital early Friday after being injured in an armed assault in the city’s Sud-Ouest borough. Montreal police received a 911 call at 4:20 a.m. reporting a man injured in an apartment on Hurteau St. between Allard and Raudot Sts. Officers found the victim conscious but with at least one wound to the upper body inflicted with a sharp object. A 42-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken in for questioning.
