Longueuil homicide attempt leaves two wounded

Two men were recovering in a hospital Monday after being wounded by gunfire during what Longueuil police called a homicide attempt. The incident occurred at 12:10 a.m. in an apartment on Beauregard St. in Longueuil. The two victims, both in their 30s, were shot but their injuries were not deemed to be life-threatening. A 26-year-old man was taken in for questioning and was expected to appear in court later on Monday. Police said the victims were targeted by their assailant and everyone involved
