Tofino-area landfill bans neoprene wetsuits

Advocates for the ban say that wetsuits are made of neoprene, a synthetic plastic material that doesn't break down. Wetsuits will now instead be recycled and upcycled by the Surfrider Foundation Canada, who have kept 10,000 pounds' worth of wetsuits out of B.C. landfills in the last year.
