B.C. has highest rate of medically assisted death in Canada

British Columbia has almost double the rate of medically assisted deaths compared to the rest of the country. That makes the province a testing ground for the practices and controversies surrounding assisted dying. This is especially true on Vancouver Island where 3.5 per cent of deaths are medically assisted.
