Shaver Road closed due to fire

An active fire in Cainsville has closed Shaver Road, says Brant OPP.The road was closed between 50 Shaver Rd. and Ewart Avenue at about 3 p.m. while emergency crews responded.Motorists were asked to avoid the area and police warn that the duration of the closure is unknown.“The public is reminded to follow all directions from emergency personnel and no enter the closed area,” said the police in a social media post, promising updates when more information becomes available.SGamble@po
