Ring-A-Ding-Ding!
Sylvia Chupka, vice chair of the Bell Committee, sits at an early version of a switchboard on display at Henderson House, Canada’s first telephone company business office, opened in 1877. The building, adjacent to the Bell Homestead, was open to visitors on Aug. 8 for an event marking the 150th anniversary of the first long-distance telephone call between Paris, Ontario, and Brantford.
