Police pull three commercial vehicles off the road in Brantford area blitz

Police have good and bad news to report after inspecting 900 vehicles in the Brantford area during a one-day road safety blitz on July 9.No impaired drivers were detected.However, three of 12 commercial vehicles checked by police were taken off the road because of defects. Several motorists were nabbed for a range of violations including two who were reportedly driving without seatbelts.Police issued 12 licence plate deficiency warnings, and say four motorists were caught using handheld devices
