Brantford Red Sox miss playoffs

Despite a late-season surge, the Brantford Red Sox have been eliminated from the Canadian Baseball League playoffs.Playing last week, Brantford went 5-0 and now own a seven-game win streak.The Red Sox are 19-24 but with only five games remaining in the regular season, they can’t catch the fifth-place Barrie Baycats (25-20) for the final playoff spot.Brantford defeated Hamilton 7-1, Toronto 22-18, Toronto 6-2, Barrie 12-8 and Barrie 9-5 last week.The Red Sox wrap up their season this week
