Brantford council candidate dealing with 2022 election charges

Former Brantford city councillor and current council candidate Dave Wrobel is running as a Ward 2 councillor while still facing eight charges for allegedly breaching the Municipal Elections Act regarding finances during his last election run in 2022.But Wrobel’s lawyer said he has “grave concerns” about the timing of the case, which wrapped up the disclosure process two years ago.“We have not heard a reasonable explanation about why there has been a two-year delay,&rdquo
