Brantford Bulldogs make history at U18 draft by selecting first female ever
The Brantford Bulldogs made history on Tuesday night, selecting the first female in the history of the Ontario Hockey League’s Under-18 Priority Selection.With their second-round pick, 40th overall, Brantford selected goaltender Sophie Jovanovic from the Toronto Nationals.Jovanovic is a 2009-born goaltender from Toronto who played for the Nationals U18 AAA team last season. In 14 league games, the six-foot, 160-pound netminder went 11-2-1 with a 1.79 goals against average as the Nationals
