Alcoa Canada workers' union rejects contract offer

Unionized workers at Alcoa's aluminum smelter in Becancour, Quebec, have rejected the company's latest contract offer . Roughly 80% of the workers opposed the offer but the president of the local steelworker's union is urging the company to continue talks, Reuters reports.
