York River lowered so water structure can be repaired

You may notice the water level in the York River is lower than normal now. Town officials say not to worry about it, as it’s deliberate.
A breach found in a Bancroft water control structure prompted the town to work with partners to lower the water over the weekend. The town received permission from the Ministry of Natural Resources to alter the level so repairs can be made.
