OPP: ‘Wheelchairs and scooters can’t drive on roads’ 

OPP in Renfrew county are reminding everyone that if you use a wheelchair or mobility scooter you must follow the same rules as pedestrians.
Police say they’ve recently responded to reports of people driving mobility scooters and wheelchairs in the middle of roads. 
Under the Highway Traffic Act, wheelchairs and scooters are considered pedestrians.
