GM workers on strike for better contract

Unifor, the union that represents the 4,300 GM employees, says the decision to strike at midnight Tuesday was not taken lightly.
Officials say after working through the weekend on a new contract the company would not meet the conditions of the pattern agreement that was inked with Ford last month.
Some of the sticking points include better support for retirees and transitioning temporary workers into permanent full-time jobs.
