Bancroft man charged with assault

A Bancroft man has been charged with assault after what police call a “physical altercation” in the town on Saturday morning. 
Bancroft OPP was called to a home at 9 a.m. The exact location wasn’t released. 
Police say an investigation led to the arrest of a 27-year-old man. He was released from custody and given a court date in Bancroft on March 14.
