SQ patrol car involved in collision on Route 167

A violent collision between two vehicles took place on Route 167 in the Lac-Ashuapmushuan region northwest of Lac St-Jean.
Officers with the Chapais-Chibougamau station of the Sûreté du Québec were alerted to the crash around 10:15 a.m. on Sunday.
When they arrived to the scene, they found a patrol car was involved in the crash, whose cause has yet to be determined. They also found a police officer severely injured, who by the afternoon was out of danger in a hospital.
